Whale Tours
Full Day
Most common in South African waters are the Southern Right Whales. The name originated when these creatures had been hunted extensively. They have been the 'right' whales for hunting because they have been slow and did not drown after killing. That made it easy for the whale hunters.
Today the estimated number of Southern Right Whales is about 7000, approximately 2000 of them are on the shores of South Africa.
Itinerary:
- A scenic coastal drive with spectacular views of False Bay
- The Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens with bird & plant life
- Whale watching from Hermanus and surrounds
- An exciting boat-based whale-watching trip
- A farm stall where you can stop for natural preserves, jams with a difference and delightful pastries ending with a cup of tea
IMPORTANT:
- This tour operates during the Whale Season, from JULY TO NOVEMBER ONLY.
